Long Shot releases films under its own banner, including Cynthia Wade and Cheryl Miller Houser’s GENERATION STARTUP, Jon Nealon and Jenny Raskin’s HERE COME THE VIDEOFREEX, Ryan McGarry’s CODE BLACK, Patrick Creadon’s IF YOU BUILD IT, Linda Goldstein Knowlton’s SOMEWHERE BETWEEN, Jennifer Fox’s MY REINCARNATION, and Jason DaSilva’s WHEN I WALK. Long Shot also handles full theatrical releases, portions of theatrical releases, non-theatrical, educational, or specialized campaigns, and Academy campaigns for other distributors. Some of these titles include Robert Kenner’s COMMAND AND CONTROL, Stanley Nelson’s THE BLACK PANTHERS: VANGUARD OF THE REVOLUTION, E-TEAM, Academy Award nominee VIRUNGA, Academy Award nominee WHAT HAPPENED MISS SIMONE?, SLOW WEST, Academy Award nominee HELL AND BACK AGAIN, SHORT TERM 12, DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’: EVERYMAN’S JOURNEY, THE HOUSE I LIVE IN, SING YOUR SONG, ESCAPE FIRE, and BLANK CITY. Long Shot helped produce CARTEL LAND, the Academy Award nominated documentary by Matthew Heineman, and THE PUNK SINGER, a documentary about Le Tigre front woman Kathleen Hanna, released by IFC Films.
Previously, Erin Owens and Emily Rothschild were at Arthouse Films and handled the complete theatrical releases, educational and Academy campaigns for Academy Award nominee WASTE LAND, JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT: THE RADIANT CHILD, HERB & DOROTHY, and VISUAL ACOUSTICS, among others. Erin was previously the Marketing Director at THINKFilm, where she was part of the team behind the release of Academy Award winner TAXI TO THE DARKSIDE and Academy Award nominees ENCOUNTERS AT THE END OF THE WORLD, WAR/DANCE, and HALF NELSON, and many other films including BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU’RE DEAD, IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON, and SHORTBUS. Previously, Emily was Director of Acquisitions for Cinedigm Entertainment Group where she oversaw all acquisitions for Docurama Films. Additionally, she sourced distribution partnerships and acquired content for theatrical, DVD, VOD, and digital release across Cinedigm’s various brands and for the company’s industry-leading digital aggregation arm. During her tenure at Cinedigm, Emily acquired several high-profile and award-winning documentaries, among them Academy Award-nominees THE INVISIBLE WAR, HELL AND BACK AGAIN, and CHASING ICE; and hit documentaries GIRL RISING, DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’: EVERYMAN’S JOURNEY, and BEING ELMO. She engineered Cinedigm’s partnership with Drafthouse Films, the distribution arm of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, and solidified international distribution partnerships for several of the company’s major theatrical releases (SHORT TERM 12, NIGHT MOVES, VISITORS, OUR NIXON).
